Why is serving in the Air Force important to you? Serving in the Air Force is important to me because I am proud to represent my country and grateful for the opportunity to protect the freedoms we have.
What moment or accomplishment as a member of the Iceman Team are you most proud of and why? I am most proud as a member of the Iceman Team when my doctor and I were able to complete a one year treatment plan for one of our Icemen. The work we did gave her a beautiful smile again and we were able to help motivate her to quit smoking. I later found out she became pregnant and was grateful she was healthy and ready to have a healthy baby.
What is your favorite part of your job? I most enjoy being able to provide emergency dental treatment for people TDY here for RED FLAG-Alaska. I had the opportunity to receive a flight patch from one of the foreign nationals we treated.
Who inspires you and why? My mom is my inspiration; she is a hard worker. My mom sacrificed everything to make me the woman that I am right now. I want to show her all the sacrifices she made as a single mother produced excellent results. With all the hard work my mom put in, I was able to go to college and earn my Bachelor of Science in biology, as well as my master’s degree in general science environmental evaluation and protection.
What's your favorite part about being in Alaska? My favorite part about Alaska is the environment and the wonderful views I have every day on the way to work or back home. I also love driving to and from Fairbanks at night when I get to enjoy the aurora borealis.
