F-16 Fighting Falcon
EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- An F-16 Fighting Falcon from the 18th Fighter Squadron, 354th Fighter Wing, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska prepare for takes off for routine training here on 20 September 2004. Using the Low Altitude Navigation and Targeting Infrared for Night (LANTIRN) system, the 18 FS Blue Foxes employ the F-16 Fighting Falcon (Viper), day and night, in offensive counter air, interdiction, and close air support roles.
