Red Flag-Alaska Improves Interoperability
EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Lt. Col. Jigjid Batsukh (Right), Mongolian Air Defense Force, instructs Airman Basic Hugo Lesta (Left), Spanish Air Force, the operation of an SA-7 Man-portable air-defense systems (surface to air missile launcher) on the Pacific Alaskan Range Complex on July 16 during Red Flag-Alaska 07-3. The PARC provides 67,000 square miles of airspace, one conventional bombing range and two tactical bombing ranges containing more than 400 different types of targets and more than 30 threat simulators which allows them to exchange tactics, techniques, and procedures and improve interoperability.
