Service members conquer extreme Alaska at 'Cool School'
U.S. Air Force and Coast Guard students construct t¬hermalized A-frame shelters during arctic survival training, also known as “Cool School,” Feb. 21, 2013, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. The shelters were one of the many skills taught by members of Det. 1, 66th Training Squadron, to enable Service members to survive emergency situations in an environment as cold as 60 below zero.
