Lab techs take a closer look
Staff Sgt. Michael Urena dips the cured slides in a fixative solution July 12, 2012, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. After the fertility analysis slides are cured, they are fixed to the slide allowing for better examination under a microscope as well as adding to the slide longevity. After the process is complete, the samples can be sent off to different labs for additional fertility analyses. Urena is a Medical Laboratory Technician assigned to the 354th Medical Support Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo)
