SERE stand up to the challenge
SSgt Mark Dornford demonstrates how to use a signal fire to send red signal smoke high into the air Jan. 31. 2011, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. The upgrade training course also shows SERE specialists how to give aircraft visual references or vector in case SERE can't pop smoke or don't have signal flares. Sergeant Mark Dornford is assigned to Detachment 1, 66th TRS as a Sere specialist.
