An Italian Air Force Panavia Tornado concluded a strafe run of a mock target during Distant Frontier July 2, 2010, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. The Tornado was being controlled by an Italian Air Force Joint Terminal Air Controller. JTACS are NATO certified to control any NATO aircraft in the designated airspace if the situation requires it.
