Sled Hill opening
EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska-- Col. Brian Maas, 354th Fighter Wing deputy commander, speaks to more than 300 Anderson Elementary School students as they anticipate the ribbon cutting of the new sled hill on base, during a ceremony Nov. 20 behind the school. The sled hill is located in the boundaries of Eielson AFB, however the land it sits on is owned by the Fairbanks North Star Borough and Eielson received permission to move the old sled hill to the new location. Contractors who helped build the hill from the earth in the old hill are: Great Northwest Inc., MWH, and DGR. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Nora Anton)
