Fuels Management

EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Senior Airman John Lind, 354th Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels management flight, performs a color in particulate assessment May 24 in the fuels management laboratory. Airman Lind compares dirt from a single weight monitor to the laboratory's color standards book (also known as the G Scale book) to see what fuel is going into a jet. The residing particulates of the solid contamination in the fuel filter must meet standards of G-0 to low G-3 to be acceptable for any aircraft.
