Eyes In The Sky

EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Airman 1st Class Andrew Thompson, 354th Operations Support Squadron air traffic controller, checks for incoming planes that will be landing on the flightline May 23 here at Eielson. Airman Thompson is currently in training; he communicates with the pilots letting them know when the runway is clear for take-off and makes sure there are no accidents that can be prevented.
