Clear For Take Off
EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Staff Sgt. Jeremy Garrett, 354th Operations Support Squadron air traffic controller, checks the weather forecast May 23 in the air traffic control tower. Sergeant Garrett says during periods where there are no exercises they have on average 10 to 15 planes take off on the flightline every day with the work day split into two shifts from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on-call 24 hours a day to report at a moment's notice.
