EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- 354th Fighter Wing Commander, Brig. Gen. David Scott, members of the ALCAN General, and Army Corp of Engineers break ground on the 354th Services Squadrons Baker Field House addition during a ceremony May 18 at the future location of the $24 million, 60,000 sq. ft. facility. The addition includes an indoor playing field allowing for intramural play of flag football and soccer, a 1/8 mile running track enabling year-round Air Force Fitness Management testing, and a weight-room. The fitness center renovation project emphasizes the high priority the Air Force places on health and wellness. The addition is scheduled to be complete by July 2008.
