Red Flag - Alaska orientation flights

EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- A B-1B Lancer takes off on an orientation flight April 6. The B-1B is a multi-role, long-range bomber, capable of flying intercontinental missions without refueling, then penetrating present and predicted sophisticated enemy defenses. Red Flag-Alaska 07-1 kicked off April 5 and runs through April 20. Red Flag-Alaska allows aircrews to practice large-scale combat missions. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Justin Weaver).
