Winter Solstice
EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Icemen of the 354 Maintenance Squadron de-fuels an F-16 Fighting Falcon on the Flight Line, Dec. 21. Today is Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year. At Eielson Air Force Base the sun rose at 1052 and set at 1441 today resulting in a total of 3 hours and 49 minutes from sun up to sun down.
