EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Senior Airman Jason Naquin (front) and Senior Airman Ryan Perry (back) of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, 19th Air Support Operations Squadron and Staff Sgt. Mathew Scharder of Kulis Air National Guard Base, Alaska, 212th Pararescue Squadron (middle) work together on placing the kick logs into place to finish their shelters on 14 December, 2006. The kick log is designed to be an easy exit if their shelters gets buried in the snow. They are participating in the Arctic Survival School only available at Eielson AFB.
