Seeing Green

EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- AN/AVS-9 Night Vision Goggles (NVG's) sit atop a fighter pilot's helmet in the Life Support Section of the 355th Fighter Squadron here on 29 Nov. During the winter months pilots of Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska are given a greater opportunity to train with NVG's more than their counterparts in the lower 48 states due to the decrease length of sunlight.
