Falcon Crew Chief
EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska--An F-16 crew chief gives a thumbs to the pilot, Colonel James Horton, 354 Fighter Wing Vice Commander, before taxiing out of the hanger before take off on 20 July, 2006. The F-16's belong to the18th Fighter Squadron. The 18th FS conducts air operations for combat-ready F-16 aircraft, working closely with 355th Fighter Squadron to provide close air support, forward air control (airborne), battlefield air interdiction, and offensive counter air.
