F-16 is arrested

Capt. Christopher Perkins, a pilot with the 18th Aggressor Squadron, informs the crew of the speed an F-16 Fighting Falcon was traveling March 25, 2009, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. The F-16 was traveling at a speed of 124 knots when it caught the arresting cable. It took a total of 853 feet to stop the 19,400-pound aircraft. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Laura Max)
