B-1 Lancer's at RF-A 08-3
EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska --Staff Sgt. Jeffrey Martinez a crew chief from Dyess Air Force Base runs down the Eielson flightline to prepare to marshal a B-1 Lancer June 18, 2008. The Lancer serves as the supersonic-capable component of the United States Air Force's long-range bomber force. The B-1's from Dyess are participating in RED FLAG-Alaska 08-3, a series of Pacific Air Forces commander-directed field training exercises for U.S. forces, provides joint offensive counter-air, interdiction, close air support, and large force employment training in a simulated combat environment.
