Controllers of Airspace
Airman First Class Ross Facer, an air traffic control apprientice assigned to the 354th Operations Support Squadron at Eielson AFB, Alaska, uses an ear piece headset and a watchful eye to monitor and communicate with aircraft pilots prior to take-off May 7, 2008. These headsets allow secure communications to aircraft pilots during take-off, flight and landing. Air traffic controllers monitors all airspace prior to aircraft taking off, transitioning into Eielson AFB airspace, and landing to ensure all aircraft launch, fly, and land safely.
