Golden Raven

Air Force Manual 10-100 has essential knowledge of surviving techniques and other information to make U.S Air Force members effective during combat. All Airmen are required to carry their manual during deployments and deployment exercises. U.S Air Force Technical Sgt. Clint Ericson fulfills his requirement by having his Air Force manual 10-100 with him during Exercise GOLDEN RAVEN 08-02, an operational readiness exercise March 9, 2008 here. The GOLDEN RAVEN is an evaluation of the 354th Fighter Wing's ability to prepare and deploy personnel, equipment and support assets to a combat environment. The exercise consists of four graded areas: initial response and deployment, employment, ability to survive and operate (ATSO) and combat response. (U.S Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Eric T. Sheler)
