In to the wild

1st Lt. Matthew Feeman is on temporary duty to Eielson for RF-A. He is assigned to the 80th Fighter Squadron, Kunsan Air Base, Korea exits a HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter Oct. 14 at Pacific Alaska Range Complex. As part of a SERE (survival, evasion, resistance, escape) training exercise, Lt. Feeman plays the role of a downed pilot behind enemy lines. His mission objective is to navigate to a safe point where he can be airlifted out, while at the same time avoid enemy detection and the many dangers a freezing environment can present.
