Ground radar, airfield systems transfer functional authority to 354th OSS
In 2012, the cyber arm of the U.S. Air Force identified the ground radar and airfield systems career fields for transfer as a cyber-specialty to an operations support specialty that joins the airfield management community. The 354th Communications Squadron will transfer authority of airfield systems like this localizer shelter which transmits a radio signal to approaching aircraft to aid in landing, to the 354th Operations Support Squadron in October, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska.
