Northern Edge 2015: Reserve, National Guard, active-duty units work together

EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, ALASKA – An F-22 Raptor refuels from a KC-135 Stratotanker from the 909th Air Refueling Squadron during Exercise Northern Edge, June 25, 2015. Northern Edge 2015 is Alaska’s premier joint training exercise designed to practice operations, tactics, techniques and procedures as well as enhance interoperability among the services. Thousands of Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen from active duty, reserve and National Guard units, including tankers from the 18th Air Refueling Wing out of Kadena Air Force Base, Okinawa, Japan, are involved.
