RED FLAG-Alaska 15-3 takes off under cloudy skies

A Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) F-16D Fighting Falcon takes off from Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, Aug. 10, 2015, during RED FLAG-Alaska (RF-A) 15-3. ROKAF and Japan Air Self-Defense Force units are deployed to Eielson along with assorted tanker, transport, fighter and electronic warfare aircraft and support personnel from various service branches for RF-A, a series of Pacific Air Forces commander-directed field training exercises for U.S. and partner nation forces, providing combined offensive counter-air, interdiction, close air support, and large force employment training in a simulated combat environment.
