EOD aids remote civil officials in dynamite disposal
Master Sgt. Harold Horton, an Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, 354th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordinance disposal (EOD) technician, carries two of four buckets containing 65 sticks deteriorating dynamite from a garage in Delta Junction, Alaska, to the dry Tanana River bed for disposal Sept. 20, 2015. Eielson’s EOD technicians, which form the smallest operational flight in the Air Force, respond around the northern part of the state covering an area of responsibility larger than the state of Texas when local civil authorities call for the mutual aid.
