Never too late to teach an ‘old dog’ new tricks
U.S. Marine Corps maintenance technicians from Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 314 based out of Miramar, Calif., prepare their number nine jet, June 10, 2016, which holds the highest flying hours in the U.S. Marine Corps F-18A Hornet inventory, during RED FLAG-Alaska (RF-A) 16-2. RF-A enables joint and international units to sharpen their combat skills by flying simulated combat sorties in a realistic threat environment, which allows them to exchange tactics, techniques and procedures while improving interoperability.
