U.S. Army Soldiers from the 18th Field Artillery Brigade, prepare for a M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) rapid infiltration (HIRAIN) mission during a dry run for RED FLAG-Alaska 18-1 on May 3, 2018, at Fort Greely, Alaska. This was the first time a HIRAIN mission took place with aircraft in the same airspace for RED FLAG-Alaska. Typically when a HIMARS is fired the entire airspace is cleared.
