Thomas Cordua, a 709th Technical Maintenance Squadron (TMXS), Detachment 460 field maintenance supervisor, explains how an advanced automatic cryogenic rectifier (AACR) works to Col. David Berkland, the 354th Fighter Wing commander, during a leadership immersion on Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, March 11, 2021. The AACR is an air sampling device which continuously removes gases of interest from the atmosphere through a process in which nitrogen and oxygen are separated from air.
