354th CES Airmen use ACE concepts, renovate Birch Lake MRA
A U.S. Air Force Airman assigned to the 354th Civil Engineer Squadron uses heavy equipment to construct steps during a troop training project May 26, 2021, at the Birch Lake Military Recreation Area, Alaska. To give the troops a sense of competition, the squadron encouraged the teams to complete one small personal renovation in addition to their assigned projects. Most teams built a bench by the cabin they renovated, while others took a different approach such as adding gravel steps to make it easier for people to traverse the campgrounds.
