January is National Blood Donation Month and Eielson Airmen are taking a step to help save lives with a two-day blood drive hosted by the 354th Medical Group. “Donating blood is something which takes minimal effort but will save the lives of many,” said 1st Lt. Christina Blitch, a 354th MDG practice manager. “Some people aren’t always able to volunteer their hours in the community, so this is a great way to make a lasting impact.”
