Eielson to conduct GPS signal jamming exercises

EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska --

The 354th Fighter Wing will be conducting GPS signal jamming exercises in support of Northern Edge 2019, May 10-24.

 

The jamming exercises are scheduled to take place May 10 from noon to 4 p.m. and weekdays May 13-24 from 4-7 p.m. During these times, individuals and organizations within approximately 525 nautical miles (NM) of point 641819N,1461800W may experience issues using GPS systems.

 

The following radii apply for varying flight and ground levels: 475NM radius at FL250; 437NM radius at 10000FT AGL; 371NM radius at 4000FT AGL; and 349NM radius at 50FT AGL.
