Eielson AFB is holding a Public Open House on June 11, 2026, at the Hotel North Pole from 4:00-6:00 p.m. The Open House will provide community members with an update to the Air Installations Compatible Use Zones (AICUZ) Study.

The goal of the AICUZ Program is to protect the health, safety, and welfare of those living and working near air installations while sustaining the military’s operational mission. To accomplish this goal, the Air Force provides an AICUZ study to aid in development of local planning mechanisms that will protect the public safety and health, as well as preserve the operational capabilities of Eielson.

The 2026 AICUZ is an update to Eielson’s previous 2018 AICUZ and includes the latest information with respect to not only the noise and safety environment but also land uses and development around the installation.

During the Open House, the public will have an opportunity to ask Air Force representatives questions about the AICUZ Program.

Additional information about the AICUZ can be found at https://www.eielson.af.mil/General-Information/Environmental/AICUZ-Program/.
