Fresh paint
Airman 1st Class Timothy Coulson sands down the primer on an A-10 Thunderbolt II preparing it for its first base coat of paint Aug 20, 2008 at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. 354th Maintenance Squadron fabrication shop Airmen are working on restoring an A-10 static display from Heritage Park. This aircraft serves as a reminder of the 355th Fighter Squadron, while stationed here their missions include air strike control, close air support, target interdiction, joint air attack team, combat escort, and combat search and rescue, they were deactivated in 2007.
