  • Iceman marrow drive starts Jan. 9

    The clinic laboratory will be conducting a bone marrow drive to support the C.W. Bill Young DoD Marrow Donor Program rom 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m Jan. 9. At Eielson Air Force Base the sun rose at 1052 and set at 1441 today resulting in a total of 3 hours and 49 minutes from sun up to sun down.   • EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Senior Airman Daronn Rawlins, 354 Maintenance Squadron, Aircraft Metal Technology Section, uses a Tungsten Inherit Gas welder and a Filler Rod too fuse two Aluminum tubes together on Dec. 19. He has been training for about a month now for his welding certification level two. Some of the requirements he must accomplish are to weld Titanium, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Nickel, and Cobalt tubes together.
